Jaguar, LLC
Wakefield Associates served as Project Coordinator for Jaguar, LLC for the construction of an office building for their tenant, Charles Schwab & Co. The project was completed in May 2015 consisting of a 5,245 square foot building at the corner Glenwood Avenue and Blue Ridge Road in front of the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC.
211 Midway Commons
Developing for MDI Management, LLC, 211 Midway Commons is an 84,283 square foot shopping center anchored by Lowes Foods. This Center features the new Lowes Flagship concept. Construction is complete with the opening of Lowes Foods in May 2016. Tenant line-up includes Pets Supplies Plus, Spectrum Paint, Great Clips, Wok and Roll Asian Restaurant, Falcones Italian Restaurant, Bozart Family Dentistry and Angel Nails. 211 Midway Commons is located at the corner of Hwy 211 and Midway Road near the popular and growing St. James Plantation in Brunswick County.
Hampstead Town Center
Wakefield broke ground in September 2012 developing the 81,970 SF shopping center in Pender County. Anchored by Lowes Foods which opened May 2013, there is 37,000 sf of additional retail space with tenants such as Dollar Tree, Highway 55, Johnson Drug, Nationwide, Atlantic Wireless, Great Clips and Sushi Gem. Recent additions include Jersey Mike’s, Little Caesars and Sherwin Williams Paints. There is also a Lowes Fuel Center and a Taco Bell located on two of the three outparcels.
Convenience Center at Crabtree Valley Mall
Wakefield recently managed the renovation and tenant coordination of the 10,000 SF former US Post Office space. The area was recaptured to include space for 3 additional tenants.
Older Projects
Arhaus Furniture at Crabtree Valley Mall
Arhaus Furniture entered the NC market by leasing 20,000 SF at the Mall. Wakefield handled the project management making sure the project was delivered on time and to the tenant’s specifications.
Shoppes at Midway Plantation
Partnered and developed with Kimco Realty, the over 460,000 SF Shoppes at Midway Plantation is anchored by Target and Home Depot. Additional tenants in the regional retail center include Petco, OfficeMax, Michaels, Bed, Bath& Beyond and Ross.
Restaurant Row at Crabtree Valley Mall
Wakefield Associates was the Project Manager on the large Crabtree Valley Mall addition of three national restaurants including a structured parking deck on the east end of the Mall. McCormick & Schmick, Brio Tuscan Grill and Fleming’s Steakhouse, comprising a total of 24,424 SF, opened in 2008.
University Commons
Another development with our REIT partner Kimco Realty, University Commons has over 380,000 SF. Anchored by Target, additional tenants include Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Petsmart, Ross, Old Navy, Michaels and Ross. This retail center was completed in 2005.
Wakefield Plantation
Wakefield Associates was responsible for the master planning and development of the 500 acre commercial portion of Wakefield Plantation in the northern section of Raleigh. Wakefield’s namesake project included two shopping center sites as well as office parks, medical offices, banks, and hotel, as well as other commercial uses.
Wakefield Commons Shopping Center
Wakefield Commons is one of the two shopping centers developed by Wakefield Associates located in Wakefield Plantation. Anchored by Kroger, the center also is home to a Marquee Cinema and well as several retail tenants in over 176,000 SF. The center was completed in 2007.
Wakefield Crossings Shopping Center
Food Lion anchors the second shopping center development by Wakefield Associates located in Wakefield Plantation. Another joint venture with Kimco, this 76,000 SF shopping center included eight outparcels and was completed in 2001.
Edgewater Place
Another Food Lion shopping Center located on Hwy 64, that was developed by Wakefield Associates with Kimco Realty. This 97,103 SF center also includes s Sheetz, Dairy Queen and Tuesday Morning as additional tenants and was completed in 2003.
Shoppes at Hope Valley
This 115, 570 SF Center is anchored by Kroger. Wakefield Associates partnered with Kimco on the development of the project and the center was completed in 2002.
Shoppes at Pyramid Village
Acting as a fee developer for the Owner, Wakefield Associates developed a 203,091 SF Super Wal-Mart site on what was once the Carolina Circle Mall site in Greensboro. The Wal-Mart opened its doors in August 2006 along with an additional 70,000 SF of small shops.
